 Mr. Arvind Gupta from Science Centre IUCAA, Pune visited Kanpur in Feb. 2015. He held a day long workshop on making ‘toys from trash’.

 

Educational Trip to the Kanpur Zoo (18 Feb.2015)

On 18th Feb. 2015 , children (around 300)  from several Apna Skool centres were taken on excursion to Kanpur zoo. Children enjoyed the antics of monkeys and Gorillas, roars of majestic lions and cheetahs, strange Zebras, Giraffes, Black Bears and Gorillas. They were fascinated by the many beautiful colourful fish in the aquarium. While younger were asked to make artwork of what they saw, older ones wrote the list of animals and essays on them. Sumptuous packed lunches of Puri-sabzi and sweets were indeed welcome after an exhausting fun filled day.

Happy New Year 2015

Science Mela (14 & 15 Nov. 2014)

Like in the preceding years, this year also Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti’s SVV conducted a Science, Math and Social Science Mela. Children from Apna Skool (Dhamikheda, Panki,Ganga Ganj,Tatiyaganj-1, Tatiyaganj-2, Maharajpur, Vishnu ,Kalra 1, and Lodhar Apna Skools) took part in the Science exhibition and demonstrated a number of Science projects done by the children.

Apna Skool Stall -IIT Kanpur Cultural Festival ( Antaragni - 9 Oct.-12 Oct., 2014)

This Antaragni - 2014, Apna Skool kids made some beautiful hand made articles like Diyas,Friendship bands,Candles,Greeting cards and not to forget beautiful Paintings.These were displayed in a stall in the old SAC campus and also were put to sale.
Many people really appreaciated the art of kids and kids enjoyed doing so.
I would like to thank all of you for your tremendous direct or indirect support for successful conduction of this Apna Skool stall.
