Participation in Science & Social Science Mela :13th & 14th Dec.

All the children of APNA SKOOL, under the banner of Jagriti Bal Samiti, organised a wonderful science fair at Swami Vivekananda School.

Apna Skool and Swami Vivekananda Vidyalaya, Lodhar, Mandhana, Kanpur, under the aegis of Jagriti Bal Vikas Samiti, jointly organised a Science and Social Science mela on 13th and 14th December. 70 children from APNA SKOOL participated.  Kanpur Magistrate or District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh was very impressed by the talent of APNA SKOOL children (from Maharajpur, Chaubepur, and Kalyanpur Tikra). He also interacted with the children. A letter, pamphlet, and introductory material about APNA SKOOL were presented to the District Magistrate of Kanpur, Mr Jitendra Pratap Singh.  Sangeeta Didi, Sunita Didi, and Sharma Bhaiya provided detailed information about the locations where our centres operate or are running. He said that we can meet him at the District Office so that he can learn or know more about APNA SKOOL and its work.

Sangeeta and Mukesh, with the help of other teachers, explained the school's location using Google Maps/location and presented a complete introduction of APNA SKOOL on chart paper as well as through the PowerPoint presentation.  Many visitors to the science fair read this information and learned about APNA SKOOL's work and the educational opportunities for our children. The children presented their projects, science, and social science activities with great confidence and skill. All the teachers of APNA SKOOL worked very hard. It was the collective effort and teamwork of all the teachers that enabled the children to perform and present so wonderfully at the science fair in such a short time. We hope that in the future, we will continue to work together as a team on every task so that we can take the children of APNA SKOOL to even greater heights.

The science and social science fair is important because it helps students develop curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking skills. It encourages students to explore scientific concepts and social issues through observation, experimentation, and research. By preparing models and projects, students learn how to apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. The fair also promotes teamwork, communication skills, and confidence, as students explain their ideas to teachers and peers. Moreover, it creates awareness about social problems and scientific advancements, inspiring students to become responsible and informed citizens. Therefore, science and social science fairs play a vital role in the overall development of students.

World Environment Day 2025
