World Environment Day 2025

For the first time in Apna Skool Bihar Center. Five girls from Chiraiya village and Paura village, migrant labourers from the Manjhi community, gave the high school Bihar Board examination in 2025, and the results of all five girls have come. These girls have passed this high school examination by studying on their own because these children have not taken any coaching classes, and whatever marks they get in the exam result are the result of their hard work of the children.

International Women’s Day Celebration, 8th March:

International Women's Day is celebrated globally on 8th March every year to recognize and honour the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. It serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and the need to empower women in all spheres of life. We are witnessing numerous events and initiatives that aimed to raise awareness, foster inclusivity, and inspire action on this day.

Apna Skool also organized a meeting with women workers at all its teaching centers. The session started with songs by the children. We encouraged women workers to educate their girls, and stop child marriage and discussed the rights of women, monthly savings, and the importance of women in the development of families and societies. Later, we distributed sanitary pads to girls and women. At the end of the meeting, all the children took a pledge to teach their parents to write their names.

National Science Day celebration

Every year, we celebrate National Science Day on 28th February to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C V Raman on 28th February 1928.

Apna Skool celebrated National Science Day at all the teaching centers. This event brings the school closer to the community and society. Students from the nearby school, parents, and guests came to visit us. The parents felt happy and satisfied when they saw their children’s science models. We encourage our students to explore all the scientific phenomena happening in our surroundings and in nature. We teach these things through classroom demonstrations, diagrams, model‐making, experiments, field trips, visiting science parks, and participation in science fairs, making science engaging and fun.

Educational Trip to the Kanpur Zoo( 22nd Feb. 2025 )

22nd Feb. 2025, children (around 300) from several Apna Skool centres were taken on an excursion to Kanpur Zoo. Children enjoyed the antics of monkeys and Gorillas, the roars of majestic lions and cheetahs, strange Zebras, Giraffes, Black Bears, and Gorillas. They were fascinated by the many beautiful colourful fish in the aquarium. While younger ones were asked to make artwork of what they saw, older ones wrote a list of animals and essays on them. Sumptuous packed lunches of Puri-sabzi and fruits were indeed welcome after an exhausting fun-filled day.
